1.500" V-Band Assembly "Male/Female" 304 Stainless - Quick Release Clamp
Quick-Release style V-Band Assemblies are precision CNC machined and feature a 304 Stainless Steel Quick Release style V-Band Clamp and a set of 304 Stainless Steel interlocking "Male/Female" V-Band Flanges. V-Band Clamps and Flanges are an affordable and durable type of clamping system that is suited for high performance automotive, diesel, and industrial applications.
304 Stainless Quick Release style V-Band Clamp utilize a quick release style latch that allows for quick assembly and disassembly in applications where frequent removal is required. Unlike the "standard" style V-Band Clamps, Quick Release style V-Band Clamps feature a removable and replaceable T-Bolt section, should the user need to do so.
"Male/Female" interlocking style V-Band Flanges feature a interlocking seating surface to ensure a leak-free seal without the need for a gasket and provides an easy way to align the flanges during installation. The interlocking seating surface, the area where the two flanges meet, makes fitment and installation a breeze even in tightest of areas.
The weld side of 304 Stainless V-Band Flanges are CNC machined with a counterbore to allow the matching tube size material to slip into the V-Band Flange and be welded in place. The V-Band Flange counterbore is machined to be 0.065" wide and allows for the inside diameter (ID) of 16 gauge wall thickness tube to align perfectly with the ID of the V-Band Flange without any restrictions or reductions.
Each V-Band Clamp Assembly includes one (1) Quick Release style V-Band Clamp, one (1) "Male" style interlocking V-Band Flange, and one (1) "Female" style interlocking V-Band Flange.

Advantages of V-band clamps:
When compared to 2 or 3-bolt flanges, the V-band connections are lighter, quicker and easier to take apart. In most cases the V-band clamps are economical when you consider the cost of time in installation and reassembly. V-band connections require a smaller fitment envelope as compared with multi-bolt flanges, and the biggest advantage, the design of the V-band clamp applies uniform force around the flange which maximizes the seal potential of the flanges.
Installation:
For a V-band clamp to work optimally, proper installation is critical. Tubes and components of the coupling must be joined and aligned before installing the coupling. The flanges must also be aligned correctly prior to coupling installation for good joint performance.
Tighten the nut to approximately 70% of the required torque (on double-latch assemblies, torque both latches equally). Check to assure the coupling has seated over flanges equally around the periphery. Also, check for correct flange alignment. Radial flange alignment can be checked visually in the gap between adjacent retainer segments.
