Resonator is an integral part of the exhaust system, it will take the sound wave created by exhaust pulse then fine tune them into a more organized and pleasant pattern and make your car has their own signature sounds, distinctively from other vehicle sounds. It may look like muffler, but not same.It’s kind of pre muffler, positioned before muffler, but after catalytic converter.
